What? The most famous Olympian doctor in the world whose trial is on youtube made headlines just a few months ago. He was given 175 years in prison for molesting girls in training for the U.S. Olympics. Mark, you gotta see the girls (now women) who confronted Nassar in court just a few months ago. It was on CNN.

What the women reveal on video is very graphic. He molested girls as young as 10 and as old as 18 or 19. Please, type Larry Nassar trial on youtube.com. This is the BIGGEST CHILD MOLESTER case in U.S. history.

I don't follow the news at all, except for weather, particularly during hurricane season. For the most part, the events covered by the news media are of little interest to me.

I do recall hearing about a doctor molesting gymnasts. When you just drop a name without anything else, I very likely won't recognize it. A little context would help in the OP.

If he is found guilty, then he should and likely will be punished. A man convicted of molesting minors will likely not have a good go of it in prison.

Well, guys are guys. We're only human. But these cases are over the top and certainly the consequence of spoiled rich people using blackmail. But it's becoming less effective now. Look at Jeff Epstein as an extreme example.

You cannot say "guys are guys" when it comes to child molesters. This should only be applied to people near the same age.

The victims, at the time, (hundreds of girls) were between the ages of 10 and 18 or 19. Go to youtube and watch the trial of Nassar that took place about 5 months ago.

Well, rape is wrong even if they are 25 or 35. But anyway, this guy got his kicks blackmailing women to get his creepish thrill. However, though, these antics aren't working anymore for the rich/powerful.

But then again, the MeToo movment could spill into a thing where guys are just being punished "for being guys".

Well, you could argue it was inevitable that as the rich get busted - which they deserve, that it would trickle down into something horrible.

The poor commit crime but not extravagant crime.

Rich and poor, and in between all have members within their ranks who commit crimes. But, the wealthy have the means to hire better lawyers, and pay people off to effectively reside above the law at times.
