NYC Rent

The rent in NYC is totally out of control. The cheapest rent is probably in the dangerous low-income housing projects. Minorities feel that they are slowly but surely being pushed out of the city by the high cost of living. Do you agree there is a secret plan to push minorities out of the city of New York? If not, why is the rent so high in New York City?

Well, the trade-off is that the public transport is cheap, but apparently it's not a good trade-off.

I'd say it's just supply and demand.

I pay $2.75 per ride. The MTA is absolutely horrific in ways you couldn't possibly understand unless you live here.

I'd say it's just supply and demand.

Maybe the answer is found in an economics class.

I lived in Seoul for quite a time and enjoyed the Subway. There was nothing of the sort where I came from in America.

Public transportation is a great experience outside the USA.

I had fun on long Greyhound trips. The two biggest ones from Minnesota to East TN and East TN to Michigan (and back)

But beware of bus stations cause there are beggars.

I once took a Greyhound bus from San Francisco, CA. to St Augustine, FL. as a young man. The back of the bus was where it was at...LOL!

I took the Greyhound from NYC to Springfield, Missouri to visit my dad in 2006 and again in 2009. It's a 27-hour ride of agony, obnoxious, rude, loud people acting like animals.

Somewhere on my trip, they actually made someone get off! I forgot what they did.

What is the actual reason for the astronomical rent problem in NYC?
