Some people become intimidated when others try to improve themselves in some way.
I think it's more a class thing than a white thing. For instance, a working class white guy would annoy white peers with the same ambition.
Basically it seems uppity and so gets a lot of annoyance, jealousy etc..

I would certainly distance myself from people who would try to knock me down when I try to rise up.
In NYC, those people are everywhere. In fact, a large majority of them are within the family circle.

I have a B.A. in Sociology. I think my understanding of society/humans is slightly better than yours. Not too mention the fact that I am a Christian who knows what the Bible clearly teaches about this sinful planet.
Yes, we are all prone to prejudices, but our rational mind can overcome them.
