Trying To Be White...What???

My Hispanic and Black friends accuse me of trying to be a White guy simply because I want to learn advanced math. Only an idiot would think that learning calculus 1-3 will turn my skin white and my eyes from light brown to blue. Ridiculous!! What do you say?

I think it's more a class thing than a white thing. For instance, a working class white guy would annoy white peers with the same ambition.

Basically it seems uppity and so gets a lot of annoyance, jealousy etc..

No doubt studying math will land better jobs - so no wonder people are.

Maybe they actually can't - or perhaps they're not interested - or perhaps they're chicken.

Either way they don't think math is cool - but they do think Scarface is - but they will hate on Scarface until they're beaten up.

Real friends wouldn't be pulling your chain about this so much. I mean, I know guys kid around - but...

Exactly. A real friend will encourage you to pursue your interests, as long as those interest are not harming you or others.

In NYC, those people are everywhere. In fact, a large majority of them are within the family circle.

I think that's universal. I mean, I'd like to think certain areas are more like that - but probably not.
