    Motivation

Music is a great distraction, I can do things without it, but it's a nice way to get the time to move along a bit easier.

What subjects you like - outside of math and science?

Those are just the subjects I do best in and have spent a lot of time developing. And yeah, I guess you could say I "specialize" in World War II history.

    Wheel of Theodorus

It's not the most useful, but it's interesting, so I understand that.

    Nuclear War Threat

To be honest, I'm not too concerned about the threat of nuclear war at this point in time. However unstable some political leaders may or may not be, one nuke being sent off means a whole domino effect and, ultimately, world destruction, which is something most leaders are aware of. Most nuclear...

    Wheel of Theodorus

So in Algebra class we looked over the Wheel of Theodorus and began discussing it before making a wheel of our own. It was one of the few things I enjoyed, especially when we had to fill in the formula to find the hypotenuse. Have any of you ever made a wheel or read about it or anything? What...

    Vinyl Records vs CDs

I prefer the quality of CDs but the look, memories attached to, and feel of records beats CDs any day. My uncle owns an extensive collection worth thousands of dollars and he'll show them to us and even play them from time to time,

    Motivation

Glad to hear I'm not alone in my work process! I also find that having a clear end goal is also very helpful when it comes to getting me going.

    Motivation

How do you guys motivate yourself to do things (it can be anything)? I myself find music really helps stimulate my thinking and distract me so I work a lot better when music I like it playing in the background, and it really helps me fly through work.

How long have you been a programmer?

That's a lot of time dedicated, but it makes sense. All talents take a while to develop. I might get into it this summer if I end up having the time to be able to dedicate, but we'll see. I would like to learn to code at some point, though, given the money and experience it could offer.

How long have you been a programmer?

I've always been fascinated by coding, I tried it but could never get into it, though I'd like to start back up again. How did you practice? How would you recommend starting out?

Gaming - What do you like?

I'm not too big on many games beyond the easily accessible smartphone games and a few PC games (mostly Blizzard games and Minecraft, to be honest). I'd like to get more into gaming once I get a better laptop and have more time.

    Permutations & Combinations

That makes a lot more since than how the site was trying to explain it- especially the bit with exclamation points. Thank you so much!

    Needed Social Control and Christianity

This makes sense, though, all thing considered. Religions often clash over beliefs, and sadly, many radicals (specifically Christian and Islamic) take these beliefs to the extreme by either physical violence or verbal abuse. The irony of the situation is that radicals, in trying to get others to...

    Permutations & Combinations

So, my school uses an online math program and I need to reach 100% completion of it for my Algebra class, but I'm stuck on Permutations and Combinations, and no matter how many times I read the explanation, it makes no sense to me. Could someone help me? Here's an example of a problem-

What subjects you like - outside of math and science?

Ah, well, to each their own, I guess. You're entitled to your own interests.

What subjects you like - outside of math and science?

Did the plan to be a teacher pan out, if you don't mind my asking? I hope to go into a teaching career someday, possibly in (you guessed it) History or English.

What subjects you like - outside of math and science?

I haven't had the chance to take a psychology-like course, though my High School offers a few as electives. I think I'd enjoy it, to be honest.

What subjects you like - outside of math and science?

I'm not a huge math and science person to begin with- much more into history and English. But I don't mind biology if the teacher is good enough.
