\(\displaystyle (\dfrac{a}{b})(\dfrac{c}{d}) = \dfrac{(a)(c)}{(b)(d)}\)

\(\displaystyle (\dfrac{a}{b})\,/\,(\dfrac{c}{d}) = \dfrac{(a)(d)}{(b)(c)}\)

Your Turn

(a.) What is \(\displaystyle (\dfrac{7}{6})(\dfrac{15}{8})\)?

(b.) What is (a.) What is \(\displaystyle (\dfrac{2}{6})\,/\,(\dfrac{5}{20})\)?

Just a \(\LaTeX\) tip...when you put parentheses around a tall expression like a fraction, use:

\left(\right)

Then they will be as tall as the expression they wrap. ;)
